Accommodation near Northease Manor for wedding guests

Circa's three venues around Lewes: Northease Manor at Rodmell, the Great Thatched Barn at Falmer Court and Laughton Barns, all within fifteen minutes of the apartment.

Circa is a Sussex wedding caterer, cooking since 2000, that runs a group of exclusive-use barn venues across the county. Three of them are within fifteen minutes of the apartment, and one partner code covers all of them.

  • Northease Manor, at Rodmell on the road to Newhaven, is a 17th-century, Grade II listed Queen Anne manor house in the South Downs (it is home to Northease Manor School during the week). Weddings use the thatched Tudor Hall, which is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 110 guests. About 3 miles south of the apartment, under 10 minutes by car.
  • The Great Thatched Barn at Falmer Court, at Falmer between Lewes and Brighton, is a mid-13th-century barn, one of the largest in the British Isles, with a soaring timbered roof that seats 200. About 4 miles, 10 minutes along the A27.
  • Laughton Barns, at Laughton on the road to Hailsham, has 84 acres and two lakes, exclusive use for the whole weekend, and a licensed ceremony space in the Apple Barn. About 8 miles, 15 minutes east.

Why guests stay with us for a Circa wedding

All three venues are close enough to Lewes that a taxi home is a few minutes and nobody has to be the sober one. The apartment takes six to eight in three bedrooms with three bathrooms, has a living room big enough for the whole party to get ready in together, and comes with two parking spaces on a street where parking is otherwise a problem. Rodmell is also home to Monk’s House, Virginia Woolf’s home, for a quiet walk the morning after.

“Stunning apartment with amazing views. Generous welcome pack too. We were in Lewes for a wedding so didn’t spend as much time in the apartment as we’d liked. It was a luxurious base for our 2 days.”

“Lovely flat and such a nice view from the main lounge windows! Very handy that air con unit and fans were provided in the hot weather. Very comfortable beds. Great location for us as we were attending a wedding within walking distance.”
